What is reverse polarity? Reverse polarity is when the hot wire (black)(small opening) and Neutral wire (white)(large Opening) are reversed. Which means the connection is improperly connected. This is usually an easy fix and should be done by a specialist by simply reversing wires properly. If not taken care can lead to to premature failure or shock.
